About

This blog is a collection of practical hacks and insights from the world of marine engineering — hard-earned lessons from real-world experience at sea. My goal is simple: to share the kind of knowledge I wish someone had handed me early in my career.

I’ve made every effort to keep the content original and rooted in hands-on learning. Of course, some fundamentals —  Ohm's law is still Ohm's law in any language; there is no changing that—. But the way you apply those basics on a ship? That’s where the difference lies.

I am a First engineer with a leading Japanese shipping company, mostly Oil Tankers, and have been fortunate to learn from some of the best in the field. I hold a Class-2 license from the UK and a degree in marine engineering. Mentoring came naturally to me onboard, but translating that into a digital format has been an entirely new journey.

This blog is my passion project. It's not about traffic or monetization — AdSense just helps cover the coffee. The real motivation is to pass on whatever knowledge I’ve gained, especially in the form of simple, effective hacks that can make life easier for anyone working in this demanding field.

I’ve intentionally kept the design minimalistic to ensure fast loading, mobile optimization, and clean readability, because I know many of you might be reading this during a quick break on a slow connection.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you find something here that helps you. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out—I'd be happy to hear from you.
